Participants

A decentralized identity platform has the following 4 different types of participants:​

  • Issuer: Organization that issues verified credentials (VC) to individual or institutions.
  • Verifier: Organization that verifies the VC shared by the user.
  • User/Prover/Holder: Individual or institution that stores the VC issued by Issuer organization and shares the same with Verifier for proving identity.
  • EarthID SSI Platform: Self Sovereign Identity platform that helps all the above 3 parties to share VC with utmost privacy, safety, integrity also proving ownership and validity of the personal data.

Workflow​

  • The figure above depicts some of the components involved in the SSI architecture. The user app provides the users with an interface to request, manage and share their verifiable credentials. The user app can also provide additional features, like biometrics, digital onboarding etc, based on the partner/customer needs.
